A new Host.

Troops mass, once again, at the ancient fortress House Lannister calls "The Rock".

Lord Tyrrel gathers this newest host himself.

In the south, House Tyrell readies armies as well.

So does House Tully in the Riverlands.

In the Stormlands, Riverlands, Reach and Vale, armies and navies are being prepared for war.

The Father, Warrior and Smith.

Sprawling under Casterly Rock, lies the city of Lannisport. With the influx of sellswords and the constant war camps around the city, it has become the beating heart of the western military effort. Christa Lannister has taken leave from her Lord father to arrange celebrations dedicated to the Father, Warrior and the Smith, so that the Light of the Seven may bless the efforts of the Westermen.

May the Father protect his children, the sons of Lannisport, of Castamere and Crakehall, of Silverhill and Ashemark. May the Warrior grant them strength and courage. May the Smith bless these sailors voyages and put the world of men to right, in these times of chaos.

So feasts and marches, silent prayers and preachers alight the streets of Lannisport, in the noble halls and the wretched inns.

And many a traveler blesses Lannisport with their presence.

The Lords interested in recruiting these Characters must send envoys to Lannisport, paying the travel toll on the Omen of Winter, and then must bid on one or more of the two Characters, any resources that they may, with the winning bid recruiting the Character and all other bids being generously returned.

Besieged by Allies.

Half a million souls. The city of Kings Landing is the largest in Westeros. With the recent year of peace under Baratheon supervision, the city is once again prospering. It no longer strains to supply the forces stationed in the Crownlands.

The Lords Baratheon and Targaryen discuss matters of stability when sails emerge on the horizon. Over the span of mere weeks, two fleets arrive at the doors of the city. House Stark and Tyrell have arrived in the Crownlands. They are welcomed graciously and with haste but the sight of troops never ceases to create tension. The negotiations behind closed doors are unknown but the two armies are soon separated. The larger force of House Stark is led northwest of the city, to camp near Hayford Castle, the smaller Tyrell force is led southwest towards the Kingswood to camp between the Roseroad and Blackwater Rush. The mighty Baratheon camp stands between them and the city it surrounds.

As the camps are prepared, Houses Tyrell and Stark witness another arrival. With the help of House Baratheon, the House of the Dragon once again wields a unified force. An army of Crownlanders assembles near the Goldroad. Led by Prince Maekar, it is not as formidable as hoped, since many Kingdoms have not given their due. The Prince soon remedies this slight, by taxing incoming merchants of the Westerlands and the North. A fourth host now strengthens the Crownlands.

The Soldiers Tourney.

With many troops to entertain and incoming Lords and Ladies, returning to court, House Baratheon finances a grand tourney for King Rhaegel I. and his court. Knights are to prove themselves and win glory and favor. Lords are to mingle and find positions of importance. The common soldier is to partake in the festivities as these may be the last days of summer.

The Siege of Seagard.

Cold winds blow over the Cape of Eagles. A fleet with grey wolves on their banners enters Ironman's Bay. Admiral Mormont pushes into the harbor of Seagard, destroying the weak, unattended fleet of House Tully.

Lord Bolton lands his troops, the force pushing against the reinforced walls of the keep. It is of no use however. Seagard falls within the hour, the Stark men establishing their foothold.

As Admiral Mormont hears the bells and horns of Seagard slowly quiet down as he sails back into the bay. Soon, another horn breaks the crashing of the waves. Not having cleared the bay yet, Admiral Mormont watches a Lannister fleet gain momentum toward him, trapping him south of the cape.

The troops in Seagard watch as the Stark

fleet is pummeled by Admiral Farman and

his superior numbers. The Northmen

manage to push past the blockade with

Admiral Mormont escaping past the Iron

Isles at great cost.

The Rains of Riverrun.

The castle at Riverrun is one of the most defensible keeps in the Realm. It boasts great walls overlooking rivers on two sides and a moat on the third. Ships frequent the harbor as the Red Fork intersects with the Tumblestone.

As the castle is situated in the west of the Riverlands, with many natural obstacles in its way, it is secure from the incursions of House Tully's northern and eastern neighbors.

It is to the defenders surprise when they see a Lannister envoy on the horizon. Linda Lefford herself has traveled with companions to ask passage.

The Lords of House Tully seem to have vacated the keep, potentially to wage war afar. So Lady Linda addresses the caretakers of the keep, minor nobles having formed a council to manage affairs in the absence of their liege lords. Lady Lefford presents them with an invaluable offer: House Lannister has brought one of its many hosts to the Riverlands to protect Riverrun from House Stark. To allow House Tully to continue their war in the Vale without returning home. The council, quick to passion, is excited by this prospect. Impatient to present their lords with the deal they have earned House Tully, the gates of Riverrun are swung open. Her nephew, Maxwell Lannister leads an army into the castle, positioning them within the keeps, walls and towers. With the council satisfied, The two Lions must discuss only one more thing: where to hang the bodies...

Lord Tully sits with Lord Piper in the torch lit cellar of a minor castle. They discuss the recent fall of Riverrun and Seagard. The spilled wax of the candles has overtaken much of the maps in front of them. Hastily assembled table's and stools host minor lords and knights.

Lord Mallister of Seagard descends down the spiral staircase. A grim omen for the Riverlords, the bearer of ill news. He informs them that Rhaela Velaryon has marched down the Goldroad, from Hornvale to Stoney Sept. The town is lost.

Before Lord Tully can react, he is warned. More dark tidings. Tyndar Lannister has crossed the Red Fork into Raventree Hall. the fort has fallen. The town put to the sword.

As the Riverlands burn around them, the Lords exchange expectant looks, Lord Edmund Tully must know the way ahead...

Past Omens of Winter...

Harrenhal, the seat of Kings:

Lord Frey prepares the halls of this storied keep. House Tully is to stand victorious in all its challenges to come. And a mighty feast is to celebrate the prosperity that the upcoming harvests hold. A welcome thanks to all the Lords who have stood with House Tully over the years.

Many new faces will be amongst the crowds at Harrenhal. Travelers from far and wide, the leftovers of the Ironborn fleet and those that may or may support the recent tides of war.

- As the ceremony begins, Characters may attend for a low price of travel, be it for a single Character or more:

A total of 2 resources of your choice.

Success: The gathering will see many travelers. Characters may be recruited here through hidden bids with the highest bid winning.

House Arryn of Sunspear:

Half Viper, half Dragon, the children of Prince Maron Martell are surely to be formidable Lords and Ladies in their own right. How fortunate it is for House Arryn to be merging their family line with those of the Princes of Dorne.

A wedding in Sunspear will attract many visitors and travelers. House Martell has expressed that an invitation followed must be a knee bent to House Targaryen, as he will not allow anyone to dishonor his wife in his own halls.

- The lords-paramount may attend the wedding at their own risk.

Success: Lord Maron intends to do his part in reuniting the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule. For all to bow to the Dragon once again. For some contract are older, written in blood. With debts of affection to repay.

The Lords of Dorne have gathered to present their support or grievances to Prince Maron Martell, here, on the day of  his daughters wedding.

The King's Peace:

Lord Maekar Targaryen, the Prince of  Summerhall, younger brother to the King, demands peace and justice. With his many sons and daughters, he aims to rebuild the strength of his House.

Prince Maekar proposes to organize a grand council in his brothers name, to put out the fire of instability. With much violence having taken place over the last years, the prince offers a chance for absolution. A council at Summerhall to renew oaths and receive mercy and peace.

- The lords-paramount may attend this council for a small tax:

A minimum of 2 resources of your choice for travel and offerings.

Success: Those attending may bring grievances or arguments for justice as they see fit. Those in attendance with the greatest effort, influence or offerings accompanying their oath may sway the Prince's judgement.
