Houses of the Riverlands

The principle noble houses and great bannermen of House Tully are houses: Frey, Blackwood, Bracken & Lothston. All other knightly houses position themselves below either Riverrun or on of the principle vassals.

The Trident

Oaths of the Riverlords

House Tully of Riverrun rules the Trident through justice and stability. The Riverlords respect the ancient laws that govern their fealty, oaths to be honored, oaths to be respected, oaths to be wielded when necessary.

The larger houses stand in principled rivalry to each other: Bracken, Blackwood, Lothston, Frey, ancient enemies and ambitious upstarts, each stand amongst the strongest forces in the entire realm, each wish for Riverrun to hear them alone. Each try to amass enough support amongst the smaller houses to increase the urgency of their petitions.

The Lord Paramount of the Trident has to decide between balancing interests and enforcing justice amongst its bannermen. As times of strife arrive, none knows when the Riverlands will need to unite.

This is the "Riverlords Table".

Each houses position corresponds to the extend of their independence and factionalism.

The personal loyalties the members of each house hold toward the Lord Paramount are a factor in deciding the severity of events, but not their houses overall standing on the Table.

With more heft comes greater demand.

The Achievements of House Tully & the Legacy

of the  Riverlands

The position of "Lord Paramount of the Trident" was created by Aegon the Conqueror because he saw the splintered lands of the trident, one of the most fertile, navigable, valuable regions of westeros was drowning in war and squalor. Aegon elevated House Tully, not because it was the grandest house, but because it was the most stable, diplomatic and visionary one. The house that shall bring stability and unity to the Riverlands. And the warring Riverlords obliged, rather to an impartial judge in Riverrun, than to one of their own.

The project that Aegon began continues to this day, centuries after his decision, as House Tully places the bricks of unification, one by one.

Each achievement that you complete brings the Trident one step closer to unification and stability.

Example achievement.

Enshrine your legacy here.

House_Tully.png

Achievements are semi-permanent accomplishments that build atop each other to create your legacy. They remain until torn down.

They may be buildings, but are also often reforms, laws, alliances, matches, or even patronage and people.

Achievements will become available here as you interact with you bannermen and region at large.

With each achievement, a path to the next will reveal itself, tailoring the progress to your vision of your kingdom.

House Tully of Riverrun

The Lord Paramounts of the Trident rule over the most densely populated kingdom in westeros. From the Bay of Crabs to the Tumblestone, from the God's Eye to the Cape of Eagles, the Riverlords ebb and flow in rage and honor. It is House Tully's duty to keep them in line and protect the heart of the realm.

And from ancient justice to knightly vows, the oaths of the Riverlords provide a tool for House Tully to keep some of the grandest houses of westeros in line.

The Riverlords of the Trident live and die by their oaths. Many a town a sprung from the depths of the Trident, yet when the water runs red, they all return to mud.

With its flooded moat, Riverrun requires equal sieging blockades on 3 sides of the fort & with its provisions, cannot be starved out.

The Blackwoods of Raventree Hall are an enigmatic noble house. They are the only southern house to remain in the faith of the Old Gods as they gather under the branches of a colossal, dead Weirwood Tree. They are prone to prophecy and mysticism but stand with the customs and Oaths of the Riverlords regardless.

Standing in oppositions to the Brackens, they rule lands stretching from Stone Hedge, to Fairmarket, Riverrun, up toward the coast of Ironman's Bay.

Lord Vypren inherited a meek holding, looking to the Crossing for direction and turned it into what he would call, a house of shapers and dreamers. Enemies however, might slander them as sellswords and cutthroats.

His younger brother was the pinnacle of Vypren achievement, second in command to Lord "Bloodraven", destined for the capital, for a life of enforcing the pale dragon's will.

If not for the Redgrass Field and the bitter steel. Now, the heir to Greenpond sulks around Raventree hall with a contingent of Raven's Teeth, as if his benefactor might arise again from the ground beneath the Weirwood, to elevate him into his nephews Kingsguard.
